Rules
and Regulations governing the scholarship

1. The scholarship will be offered to only those students who are in dire need of financial support and also meet the criteria of satisfactory academic performance. The scholarship is open to ALL students pursuing education in agriculture or allied sciences WITHOUT ANY BIAS or DISCRIMINATION.

2. KVN expects absolute honesty and integrity on part of the scholars and shall have the right to withdraw the scholarship without assigning any reason whatsoever, especially if the candidate is found to have misled KVN or given false or incorrect information. It may also be noted that incomplete application forms will be rejected.

3. The recipient of the KVN scholarship has to maintain a satisfactory academic performance as reflected by marks scored in every semester (above 60 per cent) or grade point (above 8.00 on a scale of ten). The scholarship can be withdrawn by KVN if the scholar's academic performance is not satisfactory and falls below the limit prescribed here.

4. The scholar has to furnish his marks sheet/transcript every semester and a character certificate from the Head of Institution/Student Counselor/Student Welfare Officer or any other competent authority as may be the norm of the College.

5. The scholar will automatically lose his scholarship if he is involved in any act of indiscipline at the college, faces disciplinary action, is involved in agitation or ragging or rusticated or suspended from the College.

6. The candidate receiving the KVN scholarship shall not draw scholarship from any other source.

7. The candidate has to produce all fee receipts to obtain the scholarship. He shall also inform the trust in writing with documentary proof of any concession in fees received from the college he is studying in.

8. In case the student receives any concession or freeship, his scholarship will be limited to his course fee and minimal hostel expenses.

9. The candidates will be selected for the award of scholarship by a committee as appointed by KVN. The number of scholarhips will be limited to the availability of funds. The decision of the committee is final and cannot be challenged.by the applicants or others.

10. In the unlikely event of KVN Trust being not able to mobilise the requisite resources due to unforeseen economic developments or any other reason/s beyond its control, KVN Trust may not be in a position to guarantee the continuation of scholarship for the entire duration of the course for the selected candidates. Understanding and acknowledging this possibility, the scholarship awardees must absolve KVN and make their own arrangements in this regard, if any.
